Great product and well worth the expense. This is a generously sized towel that is both lightweight and compact. The folded size is slightly larger than a high quality washcloth folded square. If you’re looking for a great towel that won’t take up much packing space, look no further. The XL size towel is roughly the same size as a beach towel. I’ve purchased four of the Micronet Towels in both Large and Extra Large sizes and have been incredibly impressed at their durability and shape/size retention… even after a year of daily use and regular laundering.

  • This towel is very light and compact, yet large. It’s not very pleasant to use, being very thin and ‘sticky’ but will dry you off after a shower or swim and dries quickly. The mesh stuff sack is nice too. Also bought an Aquis crepe towel which feels much more like a real towel but is more than twice as bulky. I’ll probably use the Aquis for traveling and save this one for backpacking and emergencies.

  • I bought this towel to take to the gym with me. I do a lot of bikram yoga and carrying all the towels/mat/and change of clothes gets a bit cumbersome so I was looking for ways to down size. This towel takes up almost no space in my gym bag, but is sufficient for drying my body and hair after the shower… it’s not the most comfy towel, but it’s hardly rough or scratchy either and it gets the job done.

  • 1. Yes, when wet, it does feel like a wet towel. The good this is, you will obviously see the dry parts of the towel and use that dry portion. Try that on a regular towel. I did it with my white regular towel and it can not happen.

    2. Yes it does not give you the warm, hugging you feeling when you wrap it around yourself just like a regular towel would. But I accept this.

    3. It does dry fast, no stinky smell, no commercial or “technical” smell.

I think it’s great especially for travelers like me. At home, I still go with regular towels. Btw, I say get Large as minimum. I was indecisive to get the Medium. I’m happy I got the Large for it’s similar size to a regular towel. I think anything smaller is too small. I think a Medium will be hard to wrap and keep around your waist.

  • I have this and the large size. The large size is about the size o a normal bath towel and the extra large an oversized oned. Both work great. They are very thin and fold up to only take up maybe 20% of the space of an ordinary towel, if even that. They will dry you off as quickly as a normal towel, they just won’t warm you. They dry out very quickly both hung dry and in the dryer.

Edit: 6 months later and these are holding up well. I have two that I personally use and they are getting washed after every two uses. They look the same as the day I received them. After switching the whole house to these, I have noticed a big difference in the dryer times and gas I am using. Would still recommend.

I like this Camelbak, it fits well, but false advertising by Camelbak on how it accommodates MP3 players. Marketing material says has an MP3 holder but only some years and some colors actually have the port for the earphones. I thought Camelbak was smarter than that. I don’t get their inconsistency. I waited for the new model because it said it had an MP3 holder, but it’s just the regular pocket and I have to leave the zipper partially open for the headphone wires. Like the Camelbak, bummed about them creating a false expectation. And why DON’T they have a port for the earphones?

As a long distance bicycle rider of 125-150 miles per week, you need stamina, good nutrition, and most importantly, hydration. The camelbal lets you sip Gatorade, water, or any liquid thru the straw in the easy to carry backpack; can’t live without it and have used if for years; Once you try it, you will feel the same way. It’s the best investment you can make for your riding and comfort.

I was looking for a hydration pack that also had storage space, but was not too big or heavy, to use for mtn biking. I’m a small female, (5’3″, 108lbs)and everything I had tried were either too big or too bulky. I ordered the Magic, which is a specific women’s fit and it worked perfectly. I love it. The 1.2L reservoir is perfect for a 3 hour ride and it has 2 zippered compartments that allow me to carry my cell, camera, snack bar, sunscreen & bug wipes, chapstick, and money. There is additional storage just by loosening the side straps, where I can stuff my windbreaker, behind the bottom compartment. What I like best about the Magic is the fit. I’m short waisted and the Magic fits great on my back without being too long. It’s very comfortable thanks to the strategically place padding/ventilation and the wide shoulder straps and the waist strap gives extra security to eliminate bounce while mtn biking.

  • Camelbak Magic 72 Oz Hydration Pack, Vista Blue/Charcoal
I bought this Camelbak for my daughter to be used as a hydration system more than a backpack while cycling and it is perfect. It is more compact than the one I bought myself, but I wanted the extra room to use mine as a backpack, so I opted for the larger one. She wanted something that would feel “barely there” and look stylish and more comfortable. Its smaller reservoir makes it a lighter weight pack. When you fill it with ice and water, it helps to cool her back while riding too, although it is suttle. It does have ample pockets for her protein bars and other essentials while on the trails and she is very pleased with its quality and workmanship. All four of us have Camelbaks of varying types and sizes and we are all very happy with them. You can’t go wrong ordering this item as long as you realize its smaller capacity and overall smaller size. If you want a back pack for hiking with lots of extra room, this is not the pack for you.

I researched hydration packs obsessively before going to Egypt (it being the desert and all). This was absolutely the perfect product for the trip. I often think “made for women” products are silly, but in this case, it’s true — my husband’s Camelbak is painful for me to carry, and this one felt weightless. It is perfect for small people (I am 5’2″); it holds plenty of water, even for the desert; and it has more storage than you’d think. It could possibly have used more space for carrying spare clothes; but it easily held my guide book, balance bars, hat, sunglasses, keys, chapstick, wallet, etc. My only criticism is that Camelbak needs to make covers for the suction part for sanitation. Otherwise, I think the Magic is about the greatest thing to happen to adventure traveling.
